It’s a busy weekend, inspiration is sparse — I begin looking at old forgotten digital notes. Many of my findings are not shareable — either they’re projects I want to do but haven’t done yet (don’t want to ruin the surprise) or I’m filtering myself too much, some things are perhaps too incendiary? That’s not the right word, but maybe you’ll see it in another form; a character monologue in a story or something?
Polyverse, the start to a potential story
“Hi my name is Frankie….I could have written about myself but I didn’t.
(Much later)
Of course, Frankie isn’t real. Remember in Fight Club when you find out that Tyler Durden is fake? Kind of like that, except Frankie doesn’t beat the shit out of me. It’s just a way to play out what if scenarios and stretch the truth from my own past or imagination. Deal with it.
Then I think it’s a series of vignettes. Since this was written 3 years ago in the middle of the night, it was probably just something I wrote to not forget, but I still like the idea and could use it to write a story. I should. I like this one.
Foretelling
This one is from 12:51 AM in 2019.
Guy reads and watches movies his whole life thinking that they’re fake but they’re really coded messages to him to get him to course correct his life and warn him of things to come. One day he realizes it and everything changes. He can see the world as it really is.
This one feels like a rip off of a several sci-fis but it would still be a decent writing exercise.

“Life is divided by chapters of 4. The first are an intro you don’t remember. Average is 20-25 chapters, I’m beginning chapter 8. This is where things start to get good.”

Who’s more right? Someone who lived intentionally, with purpose, but is wrong or someone who lived correctly ignorantly?
Of course that assumes there is a correct way but I don’t believe that. The religious folks on the other hand…
Good person on purpose or good person without trying?
This one has always bugged me — since there are many people who do good things for the views, the accolades, because they are supposed to do it. But do their motives matter?

Live or Create, May 2022
Could be a real game or a book about a game
Imagine an open world. But with nothing in it.
Every time you log on, the user is prompted to create or live.
The first time everyone must create.
What do you create?
A playable character with missions and goals.
You don't play the same character multiple times or at least, it's limited.
You'd log in and make a character and establish goals for the next player to use. When you log in next time, you play as a character someone else designed and move forward or away from their goals.
In a sense it's similar to how the greek gods used to messs with individuals lives. In this case everyone has a say in which characters succeed or fail but it's not their choice. They can only influence the path. By randomness, some characters in the world will become powerful and others will die or become weak. Though truly, everyone started off equally. With the same plot of land and resources.
It will demonstrate the concept of luck and circumstance. Even if things are egalitarian from the get go.
Perhaps as time goes on, new features can be added. Things like editing players, or returning back to characters you've worked on. Or if we don't allow it, people who became attached to certain characters will go visit them and even aid or hinder characters in their new bodies. Almost as if reincarnation with memory existed. Or every night, everyone's consciousness would shuffle bodies. In a world like that, wouldn’t people fight for a more egalitarian world, since they could end up infinitely in bad situations? Or would they give power to the most powerful in order to have amazing days when you have it.
Probably those who are very smart or rich would develop something outside of their body to work on as different people, to reverse it or maintain their position.
More interesting if they're passive bystanders, or only get to make decisions. Not control. In that case, people like servants couldn't just not go to work that day. There would be chaos.
