This week is a short read itself, BUT there are a lot of links and paths to follow. Please take them. Go slow. Enjoy the journey.

I read a bunch of articles (idk, 10 maybe?) today to try and get some good fuel. Really, nothing. Not that they weren’t good, a few were. But they weren’t for here*.
*To be honest, I’m not even sure what my criteria is here but — I know it when I see it.
I slept well last night, worked out in the sun, hit the gym spa, went to lunch with friends — great recipe for a Sunday, not great for writing.
If you’re too content and occupied, you don’t have time to wonder about seemingly meaningless things, follow weird rabbit holes on the internet, and let yourself spiral into a caffeine-fueled oblivion that somehow spits itself out as writing. I suppose it’s better for your life in general though.
My idea for a topic: “Topics I thought about writing about but decided against”
This might be one of the more fun content writing dodges I have done. It will likely happen again. This way I can explore some loose ends, list them, and avoid writing it for now. When I get curious again, I can dive deeper into the abyss.
Why my social media feeds keep pushing me towards homesteading/farming. In big ways i.e. “chicken as a gateway drug” and in small ways i.e. urban gardens, etc. Even the big time billionaires are getting in on it (Zuck raises his own beef and feeds them macadamia nuts that he grows), an extreme example I know. This is not too dissimilar to searching out housing renovations in the forest or in Mediterranean countries
Something about perspective, mistakes, and the butterfly effect.. Read this thread — it’s about space, art, and how a kid’s poster led to a wild journey.
My grandma’s thoughts on her recent trip to Thailand and Japan. Especially regarding food since this is, after all, a Gringordo account.
Castles, life in them, medieval stuff. Unrelated plug to watch Castle in the Sky if you haven’t.
Something about this:
Something about legends and iconic figures re: Belichick (Why do we say his name beleCHECK? Almost made me typo…), Saban, and, yes, Pete Carroll too. They all have been top of their game and around for this entire generation. All simultaneously retired. This happened a few weeks ago, I’m not breaking any news.
Palworld. I haven’t played it yet so I can’t really say much. It’s being described as Pokémon with guns, but I’m assured it’s much more. Honestly, it looks pretty high octane and fun, a testament to how good products can be from small companies without all of the rigamarole of corporate interests….Feel free to play this while you keep waiting for GTA6.
A thread worth sharing: “High Agency”, examples and demonstration
A tweet worth sharing, I just love this.
Cool looking (and sounding) books and magazines I saw in the Chiang Mai airport. And an example of how I use my Photos app as a memory/reminder device.
And my first time seeing Slavoj in the wild. Honestly, I don’t know much of his beliefs. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s too far left, I don’t really follow. But he gives entertaining interviews to say the least.
“We don’t really want what we think we desire.” That’s a fun quote to end on.
Enjoy your week — I hope you make good progress in whatever you are pursuing (and deep down, don’t really want)😜
